OmniTI Joins Email Sender and Provider Coalition
Company's suite of email solutions among the first to support industry best practices and email delivery standards
COLUMBIA, MARYLAND - April 18, 2006 -- OmniTI Computer Consulting Inc. (www.omniti.com), a worldwide leader of email solutions and services, today announced that they have joined the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC), an association of industry professionals working to combat the proliferation of spam and the emerging problem of email deliverability. OmniTI's affiliation with ESPC is a natural fit for the company, as its Ecelerity email solutions were among the first to market that fully support industry efforts to incorporate Internet Service Provider (ISP) best practices and ensure the delivery of legitimate email.
"Each prospective new member must commit to uphold the highest of industry standards. OmniTI's adherence to email best practices meets the standards we require for membership," said Trevor Hughes, executive director of the ESPC. "We are pleased that they have joined and we look forward to the role they will play in helping to broaden the scope and expertise of our membership."
The Email Sender and Provider Coalition is a cooperative group of industry leaders working to create solutions to the continued proliferation of spam and the emerging problem of deliverability. The group's membership provides volume mail delivery services to an estimated 250,000 clients - representing the full breadth of the U.S. marketplace. ESPC is currently working on solutions to spam and deliverability concerns through a combination of legislative advocacy, technological development and industry standards.
Kicking off its membership, OmniTI will be joining email experts from around the country today for a half-day intensive program focusing on ISP best practices and email deliverability. The event, ESPC's Deliverability Bootcamp, is designed to offer actionable insights on how to effectively navigate the myriad of standards, whitelists, filters and blacklists used by ISPs. The session will also profile the latest postmaster and reporting tools to help companies improve deliverability while reducing spam and inbound abuse.
OmniTI Vice President of Sales Barry Abel said, "The Email Sender and Provider Coalition is an organization at the forefront of efforts designed to promote strong spam solutions that ensure the delivery of legitimate email. The group's active involvement in the war against spam and goal of achieving worldwide email delivery standards makes this an excellent fit for OmniTI, as we have long marketed solutions necessary to support these goals."
