FTC Acting Chairman Ohlhausen gave a state-of-the-FTC speech at the 100-day mark of the Trump administration. Key points included:
- The FTC is focusing its enforcement actions on matters where there are substantial harms;
- For purposing of determining what that means for privacy and data security, the FTC is studying the economics of privacy and data security; and
- The FTC is working to make responding to CIDs more efficient and cost-effective.
