To the extent you have been watching the Hulu Video Privacy Protection Act case, you should know that the court entered summary judgment in Hulu’s favor on Tuesday. The order is attached.

Important new data protection case against Google

This case (GOOGLE INC. v. VIDAL-HALL), decided on March 27 by the UK Court of Appeal (Civil Division) is important because it allowed for the extraterritorial application of UK law and allowed for non-pecuniary damages for a privacy violation. The world is indeed growing smaller by the moment. Google is likely to appeal to a higher court given the importance of the decision.
